It was indeed a great loss to the nation. Many little lives were lost that day and it became the blackest day in the history of Pakistan. But, little did we know that the threat had just begun.
NUST didn't close its premises for the sake of mourning. it started receiving threats and warnings. The HEC authorities also issued a notice which announced about the holidays of all the schools, colleges and Universities.
Now the fun part is: first, the holidays were of 2 weeks so we were all easy on the fact that Uni will open soon. Then on 1st of January, a second notice was issued by HEC which announced holidays for 2 more weeks; meaning that NUST will reopen from 12 January. This time, we all got worried because it really was a great problem for us since the semester was extending. Then, a third notice was issued stating that NUST will reopen from 19th. At that very moment, I so wanted to abuse the NUST authorities (but I didn't because I'm not an abuser).
It was really a tough time for almost all my class fellows. But everyday we found something new to play with together. Firstly, we had got 5 birthdays in these days which we celebrated online. We all contributed a little bit to make a birthday collage for one class fellow and videos for the other and in this way, we made all the birthday people happy. We also had late night group chats and by late night I mean really late night; it normally got 0400 hrs while talking with each other.
In this way, we kept all ourselves happy so as to fill the time till the Uni reopens.
